Public Art | 2022 FIFA World Cup

About
Qatar will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup™, inviting 1.5 million global citizens to join the country in this celebration of football, sport and culture. In this context, Qatar Museums invited 22 Artists to submit proposals for Public Art commissions to be integrated in the stadiums in which the World Cup games will be held.

The project, titled ART22, aims to play a crucial role in developing collective expression, debate and appreciation for modern and contemporary art, architecture and social history. The art works will not only be an attractive element for the tournament’s visitors, but they will also become a cultural legacy for the Qatari society.

Information about artists and art works is confidential at this stage of the project.
